After 18 years in the Executive Officer role for RBC and its legacy organisation Ryde Business Forum, Sabrina Ferguson has resigned from her role. She will still be assisting RBC in a lesser capacity, maintaining this website and our social media accounts, and compiling and editing our twice-monthly e-news, so please keep sending her your news.
“I’ve been in this role since January 2001 and it’s time for a change,” said Sabrina. “I have some health issues, too, which although non-life threatening are impacting on my abilities to do my best for the Chamber in the EO role.
“I want to thank all members and guests for their support and friendship and fun and laughter at our events, and I hope to drop in to events later in the year. I will miss you but I’m always available for coffee!
“But for now, it’s time to take a break after being there for more than 175 Business After Hours events, eleventy thousand photos and who knows how many other events. I’ve met so many lovely people, and made good friends and contacts for my own business,” Sabrina said.
Marcella has also decided after 8 years it’s time to move on. She started with us as Events Coordinator and last year moved back to an administration role. You all know how lovely Marcella is to deal with and she will miss you all but is juggling other jobs and roles right now. Huge thanks to Marcella who has been a big part of our organization.
From 1 April Helen Crouch, our Secretary, is standing in for two months. In that time we have to find a new EO. Someone who wants permanent part time work which includes being there for events outside working hours. A person with good admin skills and a sense of humour. Someone who really enjoys building relationships with others and being the main interface for an organisation. Marcella and Sabrina can mentor this person. If you know of someone who would love this role, contact us on 9952 8498. We need to fill this role and keep our fabulous Chamber going.
