Royal Rehab is a leading NDIS accredited rehabilitation and disability support provider based in Ryde that has been delivering quality care, support and services for more than 115 years.
Founded in 1899 through a visionary act of philanthropy, Royal Rehab was formed to give hope, comfort and connection to hospital patients discharged as “incurable”, often with no family, money or ability to work. Today, Royal Rehab continues to lead the way in clinical research and teaching excellence, person-centred rehabilitation and disability support.
Led by an experienced and specialised team, Royal Rehab is dedicated to maximising the life skills, abilities and independence of people living with a disability. Our innovative programs and model of rehabilitation takes recovery beyond the traditional hospital environment and into the community to promote inclusion and participation.
Royal Rehab is a state-wide facility that specialises in multidisciplinary brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation and provides disability support. Our Lifestyle Support service offers supported accommodation, attendant care services and specialised support programs that enable people with a disability to live in a home of their choice with the lifestyle they choose and the supports they need to maximise their independence, individuality and choice.
Royal Rehab also incorporates a 24-bed Private Hospital that offers a range of intensive inpatient, outpatient and day programs specialising in stroke recovery, reconditioning, neurological conditions, orthopaedic and post-surgical rehabilitation.
Royal Rehab’s Community Rehabilitation Service delivers intensive, short-term programs such as Return2Sport and Return2Driving that provide support for participation and independence in the community. These programs are part-funded by donations received through the Royal Rehab Foundation.
Royal Rehab is the proud operating partner of Sargood on Collaroy – the world-first wellness resort purpose-built for people and families living with a spinal cord injury.
