The bistro at the Royal Hotel Ryde was packed last night with RBC members and guests. Our final event of the year was originally going to be a casual drinks party … but the announcement of the Bennelong By-Election gave us the opportunity to invite candidates for the seat to speak to our members and local business people.
We thank the following candidates for making the time to attend our event, meet and greet, make a speech, answer questions and mingle with the crowd:
- Justin ALICK, The Greens
- John ALEXANDER, Liberal
- Anthony FELS, Non-Custodial Parents Party
- Wesley FOLITARIK, Sustainable Australia
- Chris GOLDING, Australian Progressives
- Kristina KENEALLY, Labor
- James PLATTER, Australian People’s Party
- Anthony ZIEBELL, Affordable Housing Party
ABC News covered the event and used footage of the candidates on its 7pm news, and local media The Weekly Times and Northern District Times attended.
Photos from the night are here on our Facebook page.
Andrew Hill, our Vice-President, took videos of each candidate’s speech, plus Q&A. You can find those here.
RBC is not a member of, affiliated with, or supports any particular political party. This event was organised for the information of our members and guests so they can make their own informed decision on By-Election day.
